Since most of my artwork is either pencil or pen and ink, I'm interested to see how these drawings will look in color. A good approach to accomplish this is to use Photoshop. Typically, I begin with a scanned copy of an image or a sketch, create a color scheme, and then use Photoshop's brushes and textures to produce a colorized version.
